This course applies to those who are required to perform slewing mobile crane operations (up to 100 tonnes) as part of their role.

DEFINITION - NSW SafeWork
A slewing mobile crane means a mobile crane incorporating a boom jib that is capable of being slewed. This excludes front end loader, backhoe, excavator and other earthmoving equipment when configured for crane operation.

A person performing this work is required to hold a slewing mobile crane with an MRC up to 100 tonnes HRWL.

This unit requires a person operating a slewing mobile crane with an MRC up to 100 tonnes to:

- plan for the work/task
- prepare for the work/task
- perform work/task
- pack up

Entry Requirements

Pre-requisites
Nil required but it is recommended that you have completed your High Risk Work License for Dogging (DG) and have sound experience in operating slewing mobile cranes of a lesser capacity i.e. C6.

Minimum 18 years of age, physically fit, ability to speak, read & write English.

Please note: This course may require participants to operate heavy equipment for the practical components of Training & Assessments. To ensure a high level of safety during the course, participants may be subjected to random Drug & Alcohol testing. Your acceptance of this is confirmed upon registering as a participant of this course.

100 points of ID (see downloads below)

Materials or Equipment Required

- Learning materials are provided.
- Please bring enclosed footwear, 100 points of ID, hard hat (if owned), weather suitable clothing and Lunch.
- Tea & Coffee Provided.

USI
