This short course is intended for those that already have a Confined Space competency and need to refresh/update (Re-Certification).

Purpose

Like many skills, there are often requirements to refresh or update your units of competency periodically either due to advancements, legislative or site requirements. This course will provide you with current and up to date knowledge via classroom presentation with verbal question and answers followed by practical exercises putting your knowledge to the test.

Entry Requirements

You are required to provide evidence of competency and currency (evidence of attending prior Nationally Recognised Training).

Please contact our office if you have any questions about what is acceptable evidence.

- Must be a Statement of Attainment or USI Transcript - 'NO PLASTIC WALLET CARDS'
* May be an equivalent unit of competency
- Must supply a Recognition of Prior Learning Letter (PRL Letter)
* Resume or employer letter
* Must state what type of activities you have been performing since your initial training
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language
- Minimum 15 years of age
- Must wear enclosed footwear
- Please wear weather suitable clothing

Please note:
To ensure a high level of safety during the course, participants may be subjected to random Drug & Alcohol testing. Your acceptance of this is confirmed upon registering as a participant of this course.

Assessment Requirements

Verbal questions, followed by Practical exercises.

Materials or Equipment Required

- Learning materials are provided.
- Tea & Coffee Provided.
- Meal room facilities available, bring your own lunch.

Notes

Although there are 3 units of competency listed, 'Enter and Work in a Confined Space' is the main unit which everyone must provide evidence for and you will only receive updated units in accordance with the evidence provided.

USI

All students commencing nationally recognised training in Australia are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to be able to obtain their certificate or qualification from their registered training organisation.
