This course applies to those who are required to perform Rigging activities as part of their role.
It is the second of the three different levels of rigging.

DEFINITION - NSW SafeWork
Rigging work means the use of mechanical loadshifting equipment (and associated gear) to move, place or secure a load using plant, equipment or members of a building or structures, to ensure the stability of those members or the setting up or dismantling of cranes or hoists.

Consists of all basic rigging work plus rigging involving:

- cranes, conveyors, dredges and excavators
- tilt slabs
- hoists with jibs and self climbing hoists
- demolition
- dual lifts

But excluding rigging work involving equipment listed below under Advanced rigging.

Entry Requirements

- Pre-requisites
* Must have successfully completed, and have a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency, 'Licence to perform rigging basic level' or hold a valid HRWL for class RB and be able to produce it.

- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must bring photo ID
- Must wear enclosed footwear
- Please wear weather suitable clothing

Please note:
This course may require participants to operate heavy equipment for the practical components of Training & Assessments. To ensure a high level of safety during the course, participants may be subjected to random Drug & Alcohol testing. Your acceptance of this is confirmed upon registering as a participant of this course.

Assessment Requirements

- You must have an Assessment Enrolment Number (AEN) before commencing any High-Risk Work Licence course/s (see downloads section below for further information).
- Photo ID is required at the time of the assessment.

Materials or Equipment Required

- Learning materials are provided.
- Tea & Coffee Provided.
- Meal room facilities available, bring your own lunch.

USI

All students commencing nationally recognised training in Australia are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to be able to obtain their certificate or qualification from their registered training organisation.
